The Problem:

As a premier brand operating 300 stores globally, Smiggle faced a challenge in delivering engaging and timely video content on in-store plasma screens. The existing processes were labour-intensive, requiring store staff involvement, and often resulted in inefficiencies and delays. Smiggle sought a centralised Content Management System (CMS) that would allow head office staff to easily update and manage video content across all stores, eliminating the need for in-store staff to intervene.

The Solution:

Storeplay provided Smiggle with an innovative video display solution built upon their proprietary CMS and tech platform. The application was designed to run on a dedicated media player device that required no involvement from in-store staff. Key features included:

- A centralised CMS allowing Smiggle's head office staff to seamlessly update video content across all stores.

- An automated system that syncs video content to each in-store device, with updates checked every 30 minutes to ensure accurate and timely content delivery.

- Integration of the solution with Smiggle’s existing Storeplay music services, requiring only a single additional media player per store, resulting in minimal hardware disruption.

This approach streamlined content management processes, providing Smiggle with a comprehensive, efficient solution for video content distribution.

The Results:

The implementation of Storeplay’s display solution delivered several key benefits to Smiggle:
