Sustainability
Guided by Scent Master Craig Andrade, sustainability is at the heart of everything his business does. As a natural perfume house, Craig is deeply committed to protecting the environment, supporting ethical practices, and fostering a deeper connection to nature. His approach to sustainability encompasses design decisions, packaging choices, and the way he engages with customers.
Design Decisions
Craig’s fragrances begin with the careful selection of essential oils, plant absolutes, concretes, and natural isolates. While he specialises in Australian native botanicals, he sources ingredients from around the world with a conscious commitment to environmental stewardship. He strictly avoids using any fragrant extracts from plants listed as “critically endangered” or “endangered” on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List, unless sourced from suppliers who hold valid CITES permits.
By collaborating with suppliers who provide transparency on the origin and quality of their essential oils, Craig ensures that his ingredients are ethically and sustainably obtained. He is proud to be a member of both the Coalition of Sustainable Perfumery and the Airmid Institute, organisations dedicated to promoting sustainability in the perfume industry.
